Departmental, Campus, Pathway, and College Service
Throughout my time at Broward College, both as an adjunct and as full-time faculty, I have sought opportunities to support my students, my department, and my pathway. From chairing various committees, to creating courses for the Cares Act, to being a club advisor for student organizations, I have worked to uphold the college motto of “Together We Serve”.

Service Outside Broward College
For the past eight years, I have held many positions on the Executive Board for The International Association for the Fantastic in the Arts including Student Volunteer Coordinator, Membership/Registration Coordinator, and First Vice President. As a student volunteer coordinator, I organized approximately 20 volunteers for the conference to work in areas such as AV and technology, registration desk work, and book room work. As the Membership/Registration Coordinator, I managed the membership for over 500 members, and I worked to make sure the registration process for the annual conference ran smoothly for the 300+ attendees. In addition, in this position, I helped transition the association from a paper-based membership and registration process to a digital one.
Lastly, in my role as First Vice President, I work with the eight division heads to create the sessions, panels, and roundtables for the annual conference, and I create the program for the three-day event. These positions have given me valuable experience in mentoring, organization, effective communication, and time management.
